SPECIAL NOTE FOR PERCUSSION:

*Please come to the first Battery and Pit rehearsal on June 4 with your summer schedules written down. If you are going to be out of town on any of the dates mentioned for summer sectionals, we will be able to work with you. (Some of the weeks will be canceled) If you are going to be unable to attend the June 4 sectional, contact Mr. Saul before June 4 at the High School Band Hall (583-8323) or DrumboyR@aol.com with the Subject of the email as PETAL BAND.

If you are unable to reach Mr. Saul, get in contact with Jordan Swindoll, Kathryn Irwin, Rene’ Phongam, Chance Melton, Whitley Tassin, or Hilary Pace before this date and they will let Mr. Saul know.

*There is a $50 Percussion Fee that is due by July 1, 2007. This fee goes towards drum heads, mallets, other percussion supplies, and percussion instruction. This fee is in addition to the $100 band fee. As always, we will be glad to work with anyone who needs more time paying the fee. Just make sure to communicate with the band directors.

NOTES:

IF YOU ARE LOW IN YOUR SECTION, YOU MAY BECOME AN ALTERNATE FOR THE SHOW. ALSO, IF YOU ARE NOT AT BAND CAMP, YOU MAY BECOME AN ALTERNATE FOR THE SHOW.

Anyone who needs a school owned instrument for the summer can come to the band hall any Tuesday in the month of June to check one out between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon.

Be sure to bring your instrument, flip folder, & lyre to all rehearsals. Flip folders and lyres are very important and you must have these. Also, please wear shorts and tennis shoes with socks each day and DON’T FORGET YOUR WATER COOLER.

Band fees will be $100.00 per person for next school year and will need to be paid by the end of Band Camp (July 27). These fees are a major part of the funding that pays for the show each year plus other items the band needs. As always, we will be glad to work with anyone who needs more time paying the fee. Just make sure to communicate with the band directors.

We also need everyone to donate at least one case of water (per student) so we will have water for your child at each the football games and contests. If you can donate more than that, please do so.

Please read this schedule carefully and plan to be at all rehearsals. The band should be very strong this year and we look forward to a successful season. Our success as a band will be determined by what each person does as an individual. Please get outside and prepare yourself for the heat before band camp starts.
